WORK IN PROGRESS

Pam Tanowitz Book DESIGN

Pam Tanowitz Dance Book, chronicles Tanowitz’s history, artistic process, and her work to help shape our understanding of her productive life in dance. I’m partnering with Tanowitz and editor Susan Young (who interviews the choreographer at length) to design, archive, and tell her story of the highly collaborative and ephemeral process of making dances for our time.

Mirroring Tanowitz's non-linear approach to composition, a collection of writings by dancers, critics and her main collaborators, are combined with handwritten notes, personal and production photos, and archival materials in a collage-style presentation of imagery and type as freeze frames of the creative process. As a work in progress, some spreads appear in greek copy as placeholders while we continue developing the content.

L.C. Franke Brand Collaboration

I've been asked to rebrand a musician and songwriter as he shifts from indie rocker to saucy crooner. Determined to save the world one love song at a time, L.C. Franke is an alter ego that’s being brought to life as a complete identity. From hat shopping, designing jewelry, and illustrating his portrait; to brand positioning with a look and feel; I'm partnering with the musician to help develop and enhance L.C. Franke's character, his story, the mythology of his art practice, and bring what it looks like to realization.
